From September 15 to 18, Moscow hosted the 4th International School-Conference of Young Scientists "Topical problems of modern electrochemistry and electrochemical materials science" (ICYS - 2019) - "Actual problems of modern electrochemistry and electrochemical materials science". It was organized by the Moscow State University and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. The young scientists of the Research Institute "Nanotechnologies and New Materials" presented at the conference.

For more than three decades, on the last Sunday of May, our whole country has traditionally celebrated the holiday of workers of the chemical and petrochemical industry, in other words, Chemist's Day.

The laboratory for the synthesis of polyfunctional organic compounds has been functioning within the walls of our university for many years, but for some time its condition has left much to be desired. Everything changed in 2017, when a major renovation of the premises was started.

The next scientific seminar was held recently at the Research Institute "Nanotechnologies and New Materials" of YURSPU (NPI), in the Laboratory of processing carbon-containing materials.

In June 2017, the long-term fruitful cooperation of the N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the YURSPU (NPI) was supported by the creation of the Department of Chemical Sciences of the YURSPU (NPI) on the basis of the IOH RAS.
