General information of the department:
The Department of Electrochemistry and Functional Materials was established to conduct fundamental and applied research, as well as engineering in the field of carbon neutrality technologies, including: synthesis of electro/ and photoactive materials for various photo/electrochemical applications; polymers, carbon and composite materials obtained by processing biomass; creation of components and devices for hydrogen energy.

Equipment:
- Plant for electrochemical synthesis of electro- and photoactive materials, including catalysts (Pt/C) for fuel cells, materials based on transition metal oxides for various photo/electrochemical applications;
- A complex of technological equipment for the manufacture of bipolar plates for ultralight fuel cells and power plants based on them, including for unmanned vehicles;
- A complex of technological equipment for the production of furan polymers.

- Technology of electrochemical synthesis of catalysts (Pt/C) for fuel cells;
- Technology of electrochemical synthesis of electro- and photoactive materials based on transition metal oxides;
- Bipolar plate technology for solid polymer fuel cells for unmanned vehicles;
