At the end of April, the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas hosted the International Youth Scientific Conference "Oil and Gas – 2018". It was attended by more than 2,000 young scientists, specialists and students of Russian and foreign industry organizations and universities. Among the participants was the delegation of the Polytechnic University – it included employees of the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials" of the YURSPU (NPI) Ivan Zubkov and Svetlana Nekroenko.

On the eve of the main state holiday – the Day of Russia – a solemn ceremony of awarding state awards of the Russian Federation and awards of the Rostov region was held in the Don capital.

On the first day of December 2017, the Final competition-conference of the program "SMART GUY" of the Fund for the Promotion of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Field (Fund for the Promotion of Innovation) was held in Rostov-on-Don. The program is being implemented in our region with the support of the Government of the Rostov region. Representatives of the YURSTU (NPI) also took part in the competition.

XIX All-Russian meeting with international participation "Electrochemistry of Organic Compounds" (ECHOS - 2018) solemnly opened today within the walls of SRSPU (NPI). The history of this large-scale event goes back 60 years, and for the fourth time our university as a host hosts guests - conference participants - within its walls.

Young scientists of our university continue to win scientific victories. According to the results of the contest of fundamental scientific research projects "My First Grant" in 2018-2019, five contestants from SRSPU (NPI) named after M. M.I. Platova were among the winners.
