In June 2017, the long-term fruitful cooperation of the N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the YURSPU (NPI) was supported by the creation of the Department of Chemical Sciences of the YURSPU (NPI) on the basis of the IOH RAS. The opening of the basic department is the result of joint research in the field of fundamental science, cooperation in the implementation of projects within the framework of grants from the Russian Academy of Sciences.
And now another confirmation has come that the authority of the scientific school of chemical technologies of YURSPU (NPI) is undoubtedly recognized at the international level: the team of the RNF 14-23-00078 project under the leadership of Professor V.M. Chernyshev received an important scientific result - according to the results of 2017, an article was made at the YURSPU (NPI) together with the N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Chemical Engineering of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in the author's team of which only Russian chemists from the YURSPU (NPI), the N.D. IOH. Zelinsky and RUDN, was included in the list of the most widely read publications of the world leader in the publishing house of periodical chemical literature - ACS publishing house (American Chemical Society)!
ACS International Publishing House is one of the most authoritative publishers of scientific literature on chemistry in the world, it publishes more than fifty chemical journals in which chemists from almost many countries of the world are published. All ACS journals are available online and are highly cited among chemists of all countries. Every year, ACS publishes a shortlist of articles published in the previous year that received the most attention from readers.
The article of our chemists "A New Mode of operation of Pd-NHC Systems Studied in a Catalytic Mizoroki-Heck Reaction", published in the journal Organometallics last year and carried out under a grant from the Russian Science Foundation 14-23-00078, was included in this ACS shortlist and is in second place in the category Organometallics.
"We thank our co-author, Valentin Pavlovich Ananikov (IOH named after N.D. Zelinsky of the Russian Academy of Sciences) for such fruitful scientific cooperation, as well as the leadership of the YURSPU (NPI) for the support of our team," says Professor V.M. Chernyshev.
"The article describes a fundamental scientific result that is important for catalysis. Congratulations to everyone on placing the article on the shortlist of the American Chemical Society! This result is important for increasing the prestige of Russian science at the world level. With the wish of further success and we continue our work!" - with these words, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor V.P. Ananikov addressed his colleagues.
