The application of our university for the creation of a new laboratory in 2021 was supported as part of the result "New laboratories have been created, including under the leadership of young promising researchers" of the national project "Science and Universities".

The Russian Science Foundation has summed up the results of three competitions to support fundamental and exploratory scientific research. Among them are the competition of laboratories carrying out genetic research, individual research groups and the extension of projects of individual research groups supported by grants in 2018. As a result, 11 genetic laboratories and more than 700 research groups will receive the support of the RNF.

The Russian Science Foundation summed up the results of three competitions at once. According to the results of one of them, three applications of Novocherkassk polytechnics - young chemical scientists - were supported at once.

Today, on May 20, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Petrovich Savostyanov celebrates his 70th birthday. Currently, the hero of the day is a professor of the Department of "Chemical Technologies", previously for 15 years he held the positions of head of the Department of "Chemical Technology of High Molecular Compounds, Organic, Physical and colloidal Chemistry", "Chemical Technologies", director of the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials", as well as Vice-rector for Scientific Work of YURGPU (NPI).

On January 15, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region A.Yu. Scriabin and Regional Minister of Economic Development M.V. Papushenko visited YURGPU (NPI) as part of a visit to Novocherkassk.
