On January 15, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region A.Yu. Scriabin and Regional Minister of Economic Development M.V. Papushenko visited YURGPU (NPI) as part of a visit to Novocherkassk.
Alexander Yuryevich Scriabin, as Deputy Governor, oversees the economic development of the Rostov Region, the development of investment and innovation activities, international and interregional cooperation, property and land relations. He visited our university for the first time, met with its management and held fruitful negotiations.
Maxim Valeryevich Papushenko is a long-time good friend of the first university of the South of Russia, the minister always treats the work process and the results of the activities of our scientists with great interest and attention. In turn, YURGPU (NPI) also actively cooperates with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Rostov region in the direction of the introduction of innovative developments.
Therefore, a small tour, which was conducted for M.V. Papushenko through university research institutes, became really fascinating for the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the region. Maxim Valerievich is familiar with many developments of Novocherkassk polytechnics firsthand, but time does not stand still, work on projects moves to the next stages, prospects for the implementation of developments in real production appear. The Minister got an idea about all this during his visit to the university.
At the Research Institute "Transport Systems and Complexes", the director of the Institute, V.P. Papirnyak, presented to the guests developments in the field of transport, installation works, systems for testing elements of space and aviation equipment, automation tools for ground maintenance of aircraft, life support systems for complex equipment. In particular, some promising projects implemented by the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, in which our scientists are also participants, were noted.
At the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials", Professor A.P. Savostyanov spoke about the installation for producing synthetic fuels from coal, natural gas, biomass, associated petroleum gases. The Minister also learned about other areas of technological research and development of scientists of this research institute and got an idea of their relevance and relevance: research works are being carried out in the Research Institute of NTNM within the framework of grants from the Russian Academy of Sciences, RFBR, work is being carried out on the state assignment of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, contracts are being carried out on the assignment of Gazpromneft.
The scientific group of Professor N.V. Smirnova told about their achievements in the field of hydrogen energy, as well as about a scientific breakthrough - the creation of biodegradable plastic obtained from waste plant raw materials.
At the STC "Technology of Composites", where scientists develop equipment for winding and laying composite materials on parts of special equipment, create software for controlling machines, develop systems for testing products made of composites, guests were also shown a unique development in the field of medical instrumentation - an electrical impedance tomograph. This device has shown its absolute relevance in the conditions of a pandemic: it can be used to monitor the condition of the lungs for an unlimited time without harming the patient's health. The author of this development is G.K. Aleksanyan explained that the tomograph is currently undergoing clinical trials and proving its effectiveness, people of different age groups are involved in the study.
It is important to note that all technologies and developments are unique phenomena, they are the products of talented minds of polytechnic scientists, of whom we are rightfully proud.
I would like to hope that the whole range of promising technologies and developments of our scientists will receive support and application in various fields of the economy and thereby contribute to the further prosperity of the economy of the Don region.
