The project of Konstantin Shepelenko, a senior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of NTNM YURSPU (NPI), Candidate of Chemical Sciences, "New methods of selective functionalization of furan compounds of platforms based on metal-catalyzed C-H and C-C activation reactions" was supported by the results of the 2021 competition for initiative research by young scientists of the Presidential Research Projects Program.
A safe and environmentally friendly power plant, the principle of operation of which will combine the use of solar energy and hydrogen, is being created by scientists of the Faculty of Technology and the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials" of YURSPU (NPI). A group of researchers led by Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences A. B. Kuriganova is working on the project within the framework of the implementation of the RNF grant "New photoelectrochemical devices and technologies for hydrogen energy" for 2020 – 2023.
Dmitry Pasyukov, a first-year graduate student, became interested in chemistry during his school years. Teachers of the Faculty of Technology of YURSPU (NPI) noticed Dmitry's abilities in the second year of his bachelor's degree, by that time he was already working in the laboratory of synthesis of multifunctional substances, actively engaged in science, assisted colleagues in conducting experiments.
The ending Year of Science and Technology has brought another joyful news – the projects of six young scientists of YURGPU (NPI) have been supported at the federal level.
On September 25-26, the Technosreda Festival of science and technical achievements was held in Moscow at VDNH, which was marked by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as one of the largest events of the Year of Science and Technology.
