At the end of October, following a meeting of the competition commission for the selection of recipients of grants for state support of the centers of the National Technological Initiative on the basis of educational institutions of higher education and scientific organizations, a list of projects that will become recipients of state grants for implementation was named. Among the selected ones is the project "Technologies of mobile energy storage", in the implementation of which scientists of the YURSPU (NPI) are also taking part.

The cycle of open popular science lectures continues at the YURSPU (NPI) as part of the implementation of the strategic project "Hydrogen Energy Systems" within the framework of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program "Priority 2030". On October 26, the series was continued by the head of the laboratory "New and composite and functional materials with special properties", Candidate of Chemical Sciences Anna Ulyankina. The topic of her lecture is "Green catalysis".

The anniversary XX All-Russian Meeting "Electrochemistry of organic Compounds" ECHOS-2022 started on the basis of YURGPU (NPI) exactly on the birthday of the university on October 18. This professional meeting of electrochemists dates back to 1958, and has always been held with the active participation of Novocherkassk polytechnics.

On October 12, a lecture-discussion "Biomass processing for hydrogen energy technologies" was held at the University "Boiling Point", which was conducted by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies Viktor Alexandrovich Klushin.
