Today, Viktor Chernyshev, a professor at YURGPU (NPI), received a diploma on awarding the title of "Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences" from the hands of the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev! Viktor Mikhailovich was awarded the honorary title of professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences by the first of the polytechnics. Moreover, our scientist is the first chemist in the Southern Federal District to receive this high status!

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Petrovich Savostyanov was awarded a state award. The solemn ceremony took place on June 6 at the Rostov Public Assembly and was timed to coincide with the upcoming holiday - Russia Day.

On May 19-20, a delegation of chemical scientists from the YURSPU (NPI) took part in the conference "New Horizons of Catalysis and Organic Chemistry", dedicated to the development of research of the scientific school of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Pavlovich Ananikov, which was held at the Institute of Organic Chemistry named after N.D. Zelinsky of the Russian Academy of Sciences, (Moscow). The conference was also attended by scientists from the largest universities and research institutes in Moscow (N.D. Zelinsky Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University), St. Petersburg (SPSU), Kazan (Arbuzov Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Tula (TSU), Omsk (TSNHTI catalysis named after G.K. Boreskova SB RAS), as well as scientists from Armenia, (NTC of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan).

The results of competitions for carrying out research, development, experimental and technological and other types of work on the basis of YURGPU (NPI) within the framework of the university development program for 2021-2030 "Priority-2030" have been summed up. Each winner will receive a so-called internal grant for the implementation of the project, designed for two years.Первый конкурс носит название «Фундамент», его победителями стали восемь проектов, у каждого из которых есть свой руководитель.
