Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Petrovich Savostyanov was awarded a state award. The solemn ceremony took place on June 6 at the Rostov Public Assembly and was timed to coincide with the upcoming holiday - Russia Day.

At the highest level on this day, the merits of scientists and teachers of the Don land, workers of the industrial sector of the Rostov region were noted, honor and respect were given to the parental work of large Donetsk residents.

The Governor of the Rostov region V.Y. Golubev noted: "Love for the Rostov region, the country is shown by everyone who is here today. High personal and professional qualities, efficiency, caring – that's what distinguishes you."

Among the heroes of the day was Novocherkassk Polytechnic - Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies A.P. Savostyanov. Alexander Petrovich devoted almost half a century to pedagogical and research work, his favorite science of chemistry, actively developing and modernizing the scientific and educational base of his native university.

Professor Savostyanov is a well-known scientist in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, energy-efficient production and conversion of energy on organic fuels, who has achieved significant results that allow expanding the raw material base of the chemical and petrochemical industries, improving the environmental safety of the processes of extraction and processing of natural gases into fuels and valuable chemicals. The scientist scientifically justified the use of silicate and aluminosilicate natural resources of the Rostov region in various industries and agro-industrial complex.

Now the conscientious work, scientific discoveries, and talent of Professor Savostyanov are marked by a high state award - awarding him the honorary title "Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation" according to the decree of the President of Russia.
