ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Novocherkassk Polytechnics took part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Advanced Technologies and materials", which was held from September 21 to 23 at the Sevastopol State University.

The purpose of the conference is to familiarize with the results of the latest scientific achievements and organize constructive discussions in the field of nanotechnology; exchange of knowledge and best practices in the promotion of scientific developments; development of contacts of specialists at the intersection of sciences; development of interdisciplinary, interregional and international cooperation.

Employees of the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials" A.N. Saliev, A.A. Savostyanov and I.N. Zubkov took part in the conference in the section "Advanced materials for power plants".

A.N. Saliev's report was entitled "Synthesis gas production for power plants from carbon dioxide". The report presents studies of the process of carbon dioxide conversion by the reverse reaction of water gas into synthesis gas, which can be used for power plants. Scientists have determined through experimental studies the influence of the main technological parameters (temperature, gas volume velocity, H2/CO2 ratio) on the main indicators of the carbon dioxide conversion process.

I.N. Zubkov and A.A. Savostyanov presented a report on the topic: "Development of new chemical technologies: research from the laboratory to the industrial level" and demonstrated to the public an automated installation based on a mini-reactor with a fixed layer with a volume of up to 1.5 cm3 – a desktop laboratory installation of PU.
