The strategic session dedicated to the Day of Russian Science was held at the Boiling Point on February 12 and was devoted to the topic of improving the effectiveness of training scientific and pedagogical personnel in graduate school.

The RFBR competition for the best projects of fundamental scientific research carried out by young scientists studying in graduate school ("Graduate Students") has ended. Its task is to create conditions for the preparation of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, assistance in finding employment and securing young scientists in Russian scientific organizations. Participation in the competition this year was possible by submitting applications electronically in the Integrated Information and Analytical System of the RFBR (CIAS RFBR). In the list of winners, which was published on August 6, 13 graduate students of YURGPU (NPI)!

Today, a well-known Russian chemist, head of the laboratory of the N. D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IOH RAS), corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences V.P. Ananikov visited YURGPU (NPI) on a working visit. Valentin Pavlovich discussed the work on joint projects with scientists of our university and gave a popular science lecture for students.

The stories of two successful graduates of the Master's degree program of the Faculty of Technology of YURSPU (NPI) Olga Papeta and Dmitry Pasyukov began with a school passion for chemistry, which turned into a professional love for this great science, with which modern humanity associates many hopes. Without chemistry, the progress of medicine and health protection, the creation of new materials, new sources and accumulators of energy, new clean and safe technologies and much more are impossible.

From September 15 to 20, the international conference "Catalysis and Organic Synthesis" (ICCOS-2019) - "Catalysis and Organic Synthesis" is being held in Moscow, at the N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences. One of the organizers of the event is corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor V.P. Ananikov. The conference is attended by leading world-class scientists from Russia, the USA, China and EU countries. Among them are representatives of the scientific team of the YURSPU (NPI).
