The RFBR competition for the best projects of fundamental scientific research carried out by young scientists studying in graduate school ("Graduate Students") has ended. Its task is to create conditions for the preparation of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, assistance in finding employment and securing young scientists in Russian scientific organizations. Participation in the competition this year was possible by submitting applications electronically in the Integrated Information and Analytical System of the RFBR (CIAS RFBR). In the list of winners, which was published on August 6, 13 graduate students of YURGPU (NPI)!
Applications for the competition were accepted from May 20 to June 22, 2020. Among the requirements for graduate students who took part in the selection were the availability of publications in publications indexed by Web of Science, Scopus or included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, full–time postgraduate study, and most importantly - the provision of a unique project based on their own new fundamental scientific research for a grant.
The following criteria were taken into account when selecting projects for grants:
- relevance of the study;
- novelty of the expected results of the study;
- project feasibility;
- scientific and pedagogical background of the postgraduate's supervisor;
- scientific background and scientific achievements of a postgraduate student
The deadline for the implementation of the winners' projects: 2 years. The grant amount for the entire duration of the project: 1,200,000 rubles.
