Traditionally, Chemist's Day is celebrated in Russia on the last Sunday of May. This holiday is professional for all those who have connected their lives with one of the most complex, important and interesting sciences - chemistry.

Employees of the Research Institute "Nanotechnologies and New Materials" took part in the work of the VII All-Russian Scientific Youth School-Conference "Chemistry under the sign of SIGMA: research, innovation, technology", which took place on May 16-18, 2023 in the city of Omsk. The main organizers of the conference were the Central Scientific and Technical Institute of the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Omsk State Technical University and the Competence Center of the National Technology Initiative “Hydrogen as the basis of a low-carbon economy”. The school-conference included three busy days, during which 113 oral reports of young scientists from 11 Russian cities, including the city of Novocherkassk, were heard.

Another universal catalytic unit for the study of various chemical processes, «FCU-1», was manufactured and delivered to the Perm National University.

18th International Festival of Youth Scientific and Technical Creativity "Ot Vinta!" opened today at the resort. It will be held at the Rosa Hall ICC from 27 to 29 April.

The Fifth Scientific and Practical Conference "Hydrogen Mayovka", organized by our university, is taking place these days in Mezmay, Krasnodar Territory. Conference topics: problems and modern technologies for the production, storage, use of hydrogen, corresponding to the concept of the hydrogen economy.
