Employees of the Research Institute "Nanotechnologies and New Materials" took part in the work of the VII All-Russian Scientific Youth School-Conference "Chemistry under the sign of SIGMA: research, innovation, technology", which took place on May 16-18, 2023 in the city of Omsk. The main organizers of the conference were the Central Scientific and Technical Institute of the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Omsk State Technical University and the Competence Center of the National Technology Initiative “Hydrogen as the basis of a low-carbon economy”. The school-conference included three busy days, during which 113 oral reports of young scientists from 11 Russian cities, including the city of Novocherkassk, were heard.
On the subject of the school-conference, which covered topical issues in the field of catalytic processes for the processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, Ph.D. carried out within the framework of state task No. 2019-0990 "Catalytic processing of carbon-containing materials into synthetic motor fuels, isoparaffin and poly-alpha-olefin oils" and RSF No. 23-23-00466 "Obtaining polyalphaolefin oils from CO and H2".
Yakovenko R.E. in his report presented the results of fundamental and applied research, engineering in the field of obtaining synthesis gas, synthetic hydrocarbons and products based on them over the period of the research institute. Papeta O.P. spoke about hybrid catalysts under development for one-stage synthesis of fuel-type hydrocarbons from CO and H2 using the Fischer-Tropsch method. Zubkov I.N. in his report on the production of C5-C20 unsaturated hydrocarbons, which are a valuable chemical raw material for the production of a wide range of valuable products, using monofunctional and polyfunctional catalysts by the Fischer-Tropsch method, he told colleagues about the prospects of this direction and the practical results obtained. His report on the topic “Obtaining higher olefins at medium pressure on mono- and polyfunctional catalysts” was noted by the Novosibirsk branch of the Russian Chemical Society named after. DI. Mendeleev the best in the section "Catalytic Processes for the Processing of Hydrocarbon Raw Materials".
