HACKATON TERRA-POLYTECH 1.23-24

HACKATON TERRA-POLYTECH 1.23-24

On September 14–16, 2023, the Terra-Polytech Hackathon was held in Novocherkassk as part of the implementation of the Priority 2030 development program. The goal of the competition was the formation of the cyber-physical information space of Terra-Polytech.

The hackathon program includes: solving and defending cases, discussions, communication. Hackathon participants were asked to find a solution to a technological problem in one of the thematic areas.

The jury included teachers from SRSPU (NPI), and the organizer of the Olympiad was Sergei Shalashny.

The speaker at the event was the President of the Association of NP ITC "InTech-Don" Ivan Yurievich Brink.

10 teams, which included students from our university, took part in the intellectual competition. The hackathon participants offered many interesting ideas. A research engineer, Oleg Denisov, is taking part in the exhibition from the Nanotechnologies and New Materials Research Institute. The “Model of a high-tech pilot complex for the production of synthetic solid hydrocarbons, diesel fuel and petrochemical products from natural and associated gases” was presented. To date, the prototype of the complex has successfully passed preliminary tests and is ready to reach the design capacity of 1000 kg/year for synthetic ceresin.

Oleg Denisov took 3rd place in the Terra-Polytech 2023 hackathon, organized by SURGPU (NPI) named after. Platov, as part of the “Nanotechnologies and New Materials” team with an exhibit of engineering creativity “Model of a high-tech pilot complex for the production of synthetic hydrocarbons”, with an IoT function.

According to the organizers, the Terra-Polytech project should be scaled up in the foreseeable future. The plans include the creation of information stands in resort areas throughout the country, where anyone can read the QR code and gain access to useful information about the unique features of the geology of the region.
