Chemists of SRSPU (NPI) take part in the XVI Chinese-Russian Symposium “New Materials and Technologies”, organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences (Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science named after A.A. Baikov RAS) and Nonferrous Metals Society of China.

The forum takes place from November 6 to 9 in China, Haikou, Hainan Province. Its goal is to strengthen bilateral scientific and scientific-technical ties between scientists of the two countries in the field of creation and development of new materials and technologies, increase the level of information exchange between Russian and Chinese scientists, and popularize achievements in various fields of materials science and interdisciplinary research.

Representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences take part in the symposium - academicians Valentin Pavlovich Ananikov, Konstantin Vsevolodovich Grigorovich, Andrey Andreevich Rempel, corresponding member. RAS, director of IMET RAS Vladimir Sergeevich Komlev.

Our university is represented at the symposium by employees of the Department of Chemical Technologies and the Research Institute of Nanotechnologies and New Materials, Dr. Chem. Sciences Nina Vladimirovna Smirnova with a report “Pulsed alternating current electrosynthesis as an effective way to multifunctional materials for hydrogen energy” and Dr. Tech. Sciences Alexandra Borisovna Kuriganova with the report “Catalytically active materials for PEM fuel cells applications” (“Catalytically active materials for fuel cells with a proton-conducting polymer membrane”).

The participation of Novocherkassk polytechnicians in the XVI Chinese-Russian Symposium “New Materials and Technologies” is part of the implementation of the strategic project “Hydrogen Energy Systems” within the framework of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program “Priority-2030”.
