The scientific journal ChemSusChem published an article «“Liquid-to-solid” conversion of biomass wastes enhanced by nitrogen doping for the preparation of high-value-added carbon materials for energy storage with superior characteristics”».
A joint scientific article was published by the staff of the Department "Electrochemistry and Functional Materials" under the guidance of Doctor of Chemical Sciences Smirnova N.V. in collaboration with the head of the laboratory of the Institute of Organic Chemistry named after N.D. Zelinsky, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Ananikov V.P.
The fact is that the sustainable development of mankind is an urgent reminder of the reduction in the cost of energy storage. The continuous mass consumption of specialized carbon electrode materials with complex internal molecular architecture requires a rethinking of both the source of materials and the process of their production.
In the present study, a novel approach is being developed to circumvent the difficulties of converting "liquid to solid" and simultaneously built in the ability to dope a heteroatom within a single manufacturing step.
Congratulations on your success, we wish you new scientific insights and creative inspiration!
