To get acquainted with the developments of the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials" on July 19, our university was visited by representatives of JSC TVEL (Department for Scientific and Technical Activities of Non-nuclear Industries) and the A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis.

Director of the Research Institute "NTNM" R.E. Yakovenko told the guests about the results of the work of the staff of the research Institute in the field of obtaining synthetic hydrocarbons from natural gases, generating electricity from hydrogen on fuel cells. Representatives of the companies visited the laboratories of the Research Institute and the CCP "Nanotechnology".

After the inspection of the laboratories, a working meeting was held, which was attended by the Rector of YURGPU (NPI) Yu.I. Razorenov and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation V.S. Puzin. Yuri Ivanovich spoke about the scientific and technical developments that are being carried out at the YURSPU (NPI), about the training of modern personnel and the structure of the university. Also, Dean of the Faculty of Geology, Mining and Oil and Gas Affairs A.A. Tretyak and Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Technological Machines and Equipment V.Y. Dorofeev were invited to discuss projects that interest TVEL.

The guests noted the high level of scientific developments of the university and the interest of their company in them.
