THE SEMI-FINAL OF THE CONTEST «SMART GUY»: TWELVE SUCCESS STORIES

On the basis of the YURGPU (NPI), on October 5, the semi-final selection of the "SMART GUY" competition was held in the Zoom system via videoconference.

Welcoming words were addressed to the participants of the event by the head of the Representative Office in the Rostov Region of the Innovation Promotion Foundation A.V. Pushenko and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the YURSPU (NPI) V.S. Puzin.

Polytechnics presented 12 projects in three competitive areas: new materials and chemical technologies; new devices and hardware complexes; resource-saving energy.

Ekaterina Bozhenko presented her development of a technology for processing waste refinery gases into high-octane gasoline and special products. Nikita Vedmichev presented the development of a converter of low-potential heat into electricity. Sergey Davidenko is the author of the project "Mobile logistics robot with intelligent control". Ruslan Israilov develops technologies for electrochemical oxidation of hydrogen sulfide-containing gas mixtures of volatile hydrocarbons. Alexander Kalinin is developing a combined lighting system for advertising and information signage on a polymer-mineral basis. Olga Papeta is working on the technology of thermochemical conversion of oil refining and agricultural waste into valuable chemicals. Kirill Protsenko's task is to develop and research a highly efficient technology for processing ash and slag waste from Novocherkassk GRES to reduce the consumption of Portland cement and obtain multifunctional concretes. Valentina Ryabchenko presented to the court of experts the development of an information and measurement system for the input control of electronic components. Vladimir Filimonov is engaged in the creation of a wind heater. Andrey Chumakov made a presentation "Aluminosilicate proppants based on drilling mud of the Southern Federal District". Anastasia Yakovenko presented the development of a resource-saving technology for obtaining coatings based on d-metal oxides with a spinel structure to increase the service life of solid oxide fuel cell interconnectors. Alexander Yanuchok is developing a line of absorption heat transformers for domestic use.

After listening and analyzing the speeches of the semi-finalists from the point of view of innovative and scientific components, the experts decided to transfer all projects to the next stage of depersonalized examination. Based on its results, a list of projects that have made it to the finals will be formed.

We wish good luck and getting to the finals to each of the twelve Novocherkassk Polytechnics!
