Today, the Director General of JSC "InEnergy Group of Companies" A.M. Kashin visited the YURGPU (NPI). Alexey Mikhailovich held a meeting with our chemists, got acquainted with the work of the Research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials", chemical laboratories.
The meeting was attended by the first Vice-rector of YURGPU (NPI) Yu.I. Razorenov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.P. Savostyanov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor N.V. Smirnova, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.S. Lipkin, as well as young scientists and graduate students of the Faculty of Technology.
A.M. Kashin spoke in detail about what the InEnergy group of companies headed by him is doing, working under the motto: "The future is today!" InEnergy specializes in electrochemical technologies of power supply systems, presents a wide range of fuel cell energy supply solutions, develops advanced technologies and products in the field of fuel cells, conversion of hydrocarbon fuels and hydrogen energy.
This vector of the company's activity coincides a lot with the scientific interests and developments available to our chemical scientists. Speaking about these projects, N.V. Smirnova noted that in recent years, the opportunity for scientists to win grants and receive funding for the implementation of specific scientific projects has opened up new prospects for them, first of all, the opportunity to publish in international journals. And many of our scientists have world-class achievements in this direction.
However, we cannot limit ourselves to publishing articles, we want to create a real product that could benefit, Professor Smirnova is sure. And our scientists already have such experience: for example, the laboratory of electrochemical diagnostics has developed a method of non-destructive espresso analysis (an electrochemical sensor that allows you to determine its composition and condition without destroying the product). Three laboratories – polyfunctional materials, processing of carbon–containing materials, electrochemistry of hybrid materials - united in 2014, submitted a joint application and won a grant from the Russian Academy of Sciences for the project "New catalytic systems and processes for selective synthesis and processing of polyfunctional organic substances", this work has been going on for the fifth year. Within the framework of this project, another one was born – the processing of carbon-containing raw materials for the production of polymers. The laboratory of A.P. Savostyanov, which received a state order, acquired a pilot plant, which was an absolute breakthrough. Read more N.V. Smirnova focused on the work of her laboratory of electrochemistry of hybrid materials, which is engaged in the production of electro- and photoactive materials by electrochemical method. Obtaining useful substances (biofuels, medicines, polymers, etc.) from biomass is another area of work of our chemists for the remote future, which Nina Vladimirovna told about.
Speaking about his visit to YURGPU (NPI), the General Director of JSC InEnergy Group of Companies A.M. Kashin noted: "The purpose of the visit was to organize interaction with the scientific, technical and engineering cluster forming in Novocherkassk and the Rostov region, interaction with them within the framework of the project of the National Technological Initiative "New and Mobile Energy Sources". I came to Novocherkassk for a small specific project, not expecting to see either a university or such a composition of participants. Impressed. We already have cooperation with colleagues who are engaged in electrocatalysts, and now I think it is possible to expand cooperation."
