YOUNG SCIENTISTS — INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENTS — MODERNIZATION OF THE ECONOMY

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University V.G. Perederiy, Chairman of the State Duma Commission on legal support for the development of organizations of the military-industrial complex, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship V.V. Gutenev, General Director of JSC "Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant" A.V. Sludnykh, vice-rectors and young scientists of YURGPU (NPI), heads of youth scientific laboratories.

Communication in the format of a "round table" was devoted to the work of youth scientific laboratories. Currently, there are nine of them at the university, and each has its own field of activity. During the meeting, young polytechnic scientists presented their promising developments and told about the results of their implementation.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the direction of "Instrument engineering", namely, the story of G.K. Aleksanyan and his colleagues about the electroimpedance tomograph. Currently, the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant is interested in this unique development of our scientists, the issue of its serial production is being resolved. The General Director of JSC "PO "UOMZ" A.V. Sludnykh, who was present at the meeting, had the opportunity not only to hear detailed information from the developers, but also to see the device itself in action. Anatoly Vladimirovich noted that the uniqueness of this development lies not only in solving import substitution problems, but also in creating a real Russian medical methodology with the widest application possibilities.

The prospects of work on winding and laying machines were noted, the development and implementation of which is carried out by a team of scientists of the VIUS Research Institute, and takes on the full scope of work - from the idea to the production of various machines and the creation of special software for them.

The modernization of the space simulator "Exit-2", which young scientists of the TSK Research Institute are engaged in, also interested the participants of the "round table". Novocherkassk scientists are currently facing the task of improving the simulator so that it can help astronauts prepare for flights to the Moon and Mars.

There was also a conversation about new mobile energy sources based on fuel cells, the need for which no one doubts today. A development concerning the production of Arctic diesel fuel from associated petroleum gas was presented. There were reports on the areas of "Mechatronics", "Innovative technologies in thermal energy", "Environmental management and resource conservation", "Chemical technologies", Information systems and technologies".

Commenting on the significance of today's meeting, Vladimir Vladimirovich Gutenev noted that such meetings have already become traditional for YURGPU (NPI), representatives of the largest companies – the military-industrial complex, aviation, shipbuilding enterprises, Roscosmos - always take part in them. "This is very important for the implementation of the national project "Education", implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, - said V.V. Gutenev. – This project assumes a close connection of universities with the real sector of the economy in order to achieve the goal of diversification of the defense industry. These are very difficult tasks: by 2025 we need to achieve the production of 30% of civilian products, by 2030 - 50%. This cannot be achieved without domestic science, including university science."

Rector of YURGPU (NPI) V.G. Perederiy noted that the round table meeting was held in a substantive manner, the university has something to show in terms of new promising developments, which, as the participants of the meeting were able to make sure, should and can help enterprises successfully solve the task of diversifying the defense industry.
