The final meeting of the Academic Council of the university in the 2021/2022 academic year was held on June 27, it was held by the rector of the YURSPU (NPI) Yuri Ivanovich Razorenov. There were almost forty different issues on the agenda.

The meeting began with a solemn award ceremony. From the hands of the deputy head of the Administration of Novocherkassk K.S. Khmelnitsky, the commemorative badge "85 years of the Rostov region" was received by associate professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies A.B. Kuriganova, Director of the Research Institute "Computing, Information and Control Systems" V.I. Marinin, head of the Department for Scientific and Innovative Activities V.A. Smoliy.

The Academic Council warmly congratulated Professor Viktor Mikhailovich Chernyshev on awarding him the title of Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The participants congratulated A.A. Belodedov on the award of the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, and A.N. Shilin on the assignment of the title of associate professor. A letter of thanks signed by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation was handed over to the director of the IDO, the ataman of the Platovskoye SKO, I.A. Revin.

The medal "For Services to the University" was awarded to Professor A.A. Burtsev, the head of the Department "Urban Planning, Design of buildings and Structures" O.N. Osipova was awarded the title "Honorary Worker of the YURSPU (NPI)".

The members of the Academic Council welcomed the triumphants of the final of the International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN" in the direction of "Automation and IT" - the student team "Mulberry". The championship newcomers Daniil Shakhov, Daria Zubova, Semen Semenist and Evgeny Davydov managed to hold the lead during the selection and semi-finals, and in the final the guys won silver, losing only one hundredth of a point to the winner!

Denis Tekuchev was awarded three medals at once for prizes in student Internet Olympiads, and Marina Gurtskaya received a medal in ecology.

Among the important issues on the agenda of the meeting, the following can be noted.

The Director of the Administrative Department R.G. Zaitsev reported on the preparation of the personnel reserve of the heads of departments and faculties. Roman Gennadievich noted that the key event in the formation of the personnel reserve of managers is rejuvenation and proper formal confirmation of the required level of qualification of the teaching staff of the university. To this end, the NPI has developed and implemented the personnel structure of the university, a program is being implemented to quota places for young specialists from among those who have defended their dissertations, the level of remuneration for scientific and pedagogical workers is being systematically increased, a system of effective contracts has been introduced and systematically improved.

With a report "On the organization of educational work and extracurricular activities of students at FITU" Dean of the Faculty D.V. Grinchenkov spoke.

Scientists of the Faculty of Technology of the YURSPU (NPI) have recently become winners of the competition for obtaining a megagrant within the framework of the 220th decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. As part of this project, a new laboratory "Recycling of Fuel Energy waste" (ROTE) is being created at the university. The main tasks of the ROTE laboratory are the implementation of the project "Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-capacity waste of fuel energy with the production of functional geopolymer materials", carrying out fundamental, applied and exploratory research and development work; active involvement of scientists, students, postgraduates in R&D and others. The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation V.S. Puzin introduced colleagues to the regulations on the ROTE laboratory. The members of the council unanimously voted for the creation of a new laboratory.

The Rector of the University Yu.I. Razorenov informed colleagues about the work plan of the Academic Council for the 2022-2023 academic year. The next meeting is scheduled for September 28, and its key issues will be the results of the admission campaign and the preparation of the property complex for the heating period.

O.N. Osipova gave information on the implementation of the decisions of the Academic Council.

The participants of the meeting also considered a number of organizational issues, including amendments to the current regulations, the nomination of students and postgraduates for several types of scholarships, as well as awarding employees with university honors.
