It is planned to investigate the effectiveness of metal-complex catalysts, primarily Ru, Pd, Ni compounds, as well as, if necessary, other metals, on the reactions of C-H and C-C activation of furan compounds–platform derivatives of furfural and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural.
EXPECTED PROJECT RESULTS
New methods of selective activation of C-H bonds of furan compounds will be developed.
in positions 3, 4 and 5 of the furan core, as well as methods for activating C-C bonds between the furan cycle and functional groups in positions 2 and 5 of the furan core.
New efficient catalytic systems for C-H and C-C activation reactions will be developed
furan compounds of platforms based on transition metals (Ru, Pd, Ni, etc.) and their complexes with
N-heterocyclic carbenes and other ligands that can be used in various
reactions of organic synthesis.
Methods will be developed for obtaining new reagents and furan-series monomers based on
metal-catalyzed activation reactions of C-H and C-C bonds of furan compounds-platforms
(arylation, alkylation, alkenylation, carbonylative arylation and alkylation),
new substances of interest as potential have been obtained and characterized
reagents, monomers and photochromes of the furan series.
