The aim of the project is to develop new effective approaches to deep processing of plant biomass based on transformations (C-H and C-C activation of furan core) of furan platform compounds (furfural, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, furancarboxylic acids and their derivatives) into chemical reagents, monomers and components of motor fuels in a combination of photo- and metal complex catalysis.
