A comparative analysis of technologies, licenses, as well as implemented and planned to launch similar projects in the Russian Federation for the synthesis of methanol (number / list of installations and the year of commissioning, characteristics of raw materials and output, etc.) was performed. The material and thermal balance of the installation in Aspen Hysys software was calculated. Several technologies and technological schemes are considered, the choice of the final technology is justified.
During the development of the material and thermal balance of the UPSU, optimization of design options was performed (the influence of changes in the composition, flow rate, temperature, pressure of raw gas; the effect of catalyst degradation; the effect of changes in the composition of the oxidizer) in the direction of increasing the efficiency of the processes incorporated in the UPSU in order to reduce capital costs for equipment, reduce operating costs for operation and increase the yield commodity products.
Calculations of the main technological equipment, including non-standard design, have been performed. The requirements for raw materials, materials, reagents, catalysts, and energy resources have been formed.
A schematic diagram of the technological process has been developed with an indication of the characteristics of the main and auxiliary equipment and a description of the technological parameters, the main control circuits and process control. Variants of processing (utilization) of by-products and waste of technological processes are proposed and their impact on the environment is reflected (enlarged assessment).
Options for the allocation of queues and launch complexes, possible risks for the implementation of the project, including restrictions related to sanctions against the Russian Federation (technical licenses, software, equipment) have been worked out and proposed. The analysis of patent purity of the used technical solutions is carried out.
