The technology being developed in the project will include several main stages, including: the stage of gasification of heavy oil residues and plant biomass, the stage of synthesis of motor fuel components and further separation of synthesis products. Plant biomass will be used as raw materials – sunflower seed husks, sawdust, straw, corn cobs, etc., and as heavy oil residues – fuel oil, tar, catalytic gas oil. A distinctive feature of the technology proposed in the project will be the joint processing of both heavy oil residues and plant biomass. It should be noted that there is no experience of implementing such a technology in industrial practice. The developed technology of joint gasification of heavy oil residues and plant biomass will increase the depth of oil refining and expand the raw material base of petrochemistry by involving a new type of raw material - plant biomass in processing.
