Technology for the synthesis of furandicarboxylic acid

Oxidation of 5-HMF to 2,5-PDCA with an oxidizing agent taken in a stoichiometric amount. Potassium permanganate is used as an oxidizing agent. By-products of oxidation are separated by filtration. The reaction product is isolated from the reaction mass by filtration.

The unit was designed taking into account the optimal conditions for the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2.5-furandicarboxylic acid and includes the entire range of equipment and automation elements in accordance with the production technology. The installation allows to carry out chemical processes accompanied by the formation of a solid phase or with the use of a heterophase catalyst, followed by removal of the solid phase by filtration and separation of the reaction product from the solution by precipitation.

  • Working pressure - from 200 to 760 mm Hg;
